Supplying artwork in Newport
A helpful guide
When supplying content for print at Amdart, high-resolution PDF is our preferred format for artwork. Because it is a locked document, what you send will be what you get. It is important that the PDF is prepared in the correct way.

PDF preparation
When creating PDFs using Acrobat Distiller, please choose "high resolution". Compression settings for colour and greyscale images should be downsampled to no less than 300dpi, with "auto compression" turned off or set on high. Bitmapped images should be set at 600dpi. Font embedding should be set to "embed all fonts", including "subset fonts".
Other requirements
Please supply all images as CMYK files. Our PDF workflow will convert RGB images to CMYK, but colours may alter from the original values.
3mm bleed all round is required on all artwork (save the PDF with 6mm added to each measurement, e.g. for A4, usually 210mm x 297mm, save as 216mm x 303mm). Please include crop marks. If artwork is supplied without bleed, we may ask it to be re-supplied.
Accepted file formats:

- Illustrator (up to CS4)
- InDesign (up to CS4)

- CorelDRAW
- Though not our preferred format, we accept Microsoft Office files. Please attach all fonts
